Greece 2: the second one

Greece was a mountainous peninsula surrounded by the Ionian, Adriatic and Aegean sea. The Aegean and Ionian sea have approximately 2000 islands. The most famous city-states of Greece are Crete Sparta and Athens. Sparta was in Peloponnesus which is south-west of Athens. Since these city-states did not have many natural resources they had to resort to trading, which turned most of the Greeks into excellent sailors. Most of the Greeks had the diet of grain, grapes, olives and fish. There were a couple rivers that are important of the great civilizations. Mesopotamia had the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Egypt had the Nile River. India had the Indus River. And China had the Huang Ho River also know as the yellow river. And the Greeks didn't have a river but the Mediterranean.
