Egypt n' Stuff
Today we studied for the upcoming test, we talked about the Nile. The Nile flows from south to north and is the longest river in the world. The Nile has a delta that flows right into the Mediterranean sea. The Egyptians of Upper Egypt had the natural barriers of the desert surrounding them. Then Menes also know as Narmer combined both Upper and Lower Egypt into one kingdom. In Egypt, during the old kingdom era, they built the pyramids for the pharaohs tombs, as well as mummify the Pharaohs so they can live on in the afterlife. They believed in an eternal life force known as Ka. In Egypt they also had games to pass the time, one is called senet. The name senet is supposed to mean "Game of passing". Other than that I am pretty hyped for the test.
