Hammurabi's Code

Wandering nomads were quite common in Sumeria, they drove herds of domesticated animals in many different areas. Sumer was conquered by the Akkadians in 2350 B.C., the Sumerian Gods were replaced with the Akkadians gods and were forced upon those of Sumer. King Hammurabi of Babylon created the code of laws known as "Hammurabi's Code". This code has been quite influential over the years of lawmaking. But some of the laws were pretty Zany. They consist of many diffrent laws about daily life in Mesopotamia, from what happens when you put someone eyes out, to what happens if you scam someone at the tavern. We also touched on Ziggurats and how they were extremely hard to make with the technology they had in the 2000's BC. Almost like the pyramids in Egypt.
